Description
Shalimar was created in 1925 by Jacques Guerlain. It is one of the best-selling perfumes ever. The perfume consists of citrus, lemon and bergamot, jasmine, jug rose, opoponax, tonka beans, vanilla, iris, Peru balsam and grey is a tribute to the legendary love story about emperor Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal as a tomb for his beloved wife, who had died in childbirth of their 14th child. Shalimar is named after ‘The Gardens of Shalimar’. Shalimar was Mumtaz Mahal’s favourite garden.
